Photos from my India Trip – Week 1 – Chennai
Written by Chad Darby Saturday, 18 July 2015
Hi Everyone,
As some of you may know, I’m in India for two weeks: July 13-26. I’m here for business and this will take me to two cities in southern India: Chennai and Bengalaru. This is my fourth trip to India, the past couple of trips I’ve gone to Bengalaru and Mumbai. But this is my first visit to Chennai.
I just finished up a successful work week in Chennai. I was teaching a course of mobile app development to a team of developers at Cognizant. A great group of guys and we had so much fun doing a deep dive into everything mobile (iOS, Android, Cordova, Xamarin, mBaaS). Fun time!
This weekend I decided to take a tour of Chennai. There is a lot of history in the city and I just couldn’t let the weekend pass by without visiting some of the great tourist attractions in the city.
Here are a couple of photos that I took during my time here. I leave Chennai on tomorrow (Sunday) and head to Bengalaru to teach another series of training classes.
BTW: If you are in Bengalaru, let me know. I’d love to meet up with you for dinner or drinks. If you’ve watched any of my videos then we are instant friends 🙂

Finally made it my hotel in Chennai. Here’s a view from my hotel room. The Gateway Hotel on OMR. This is the IT Corridor
Well that’s it for now. I’m heading to Bengalaru on tomorrow (Sunday). I’ll take more pictures and share them with you. See you soon 🙂
BTW: I fell in love with Chennai. Can’t wait to come back and bring the family!
